Body Image Quotes

Body Image Quotes by Body Image Experts!

I’ve spent a bit of time looking for body image quotes myself. I finally decided to put up a page, I hope you find it really useful.

Please consider pinning some of these, or sharing on facebook. The more we speak about body image issues (and it’s really easy to do with these quotes), the more we chip away at the idea that all women need to be working hard towards having ‘the Official Body’.

I hope you have a blissful body-loving day 🙂 ~Sandy

I truly wish my fifth-grade self had heard this quote:

“Healthy emotions come in all sizes. Healthy minds come in all sizes. And healthy bodies come in all sizes.” ~Cheri K. Erdman

In fifth grade, I was heavier than my teacher, and the whole class knew it. That single event in my childhood scarred me for life, and to this day I struggle with that image of me then…and now.

I believe all girls should be brought up with these quotes — believing in beauty from the inside out.

@Stacy Ryan, sorry to hear that Stacy, we are so hard on people because of their body size and shape, it’s the last bigotry that’s okay…. past time to change it, methinks 🙂

Sadly, so true 🙁 i’ve heard of girls drastically dieting after a boy has told her she’s too fat, and that extreme dieting then becoming a full-blown eating disorder. Resilience is such an important quality to teach our girls.
