I truly wish my fifth-grade self had heard this quote:
“Healthy emotions come in all sizes. Healthy minds come in all sizes. And healthy bodies come in all sizes.” ~Cheri K. Erdman
In fifth grade, I was heavier than my teacher, and the whole class knew it. That single event in my childhood scarred me for life, and to this day I struggle with that image of me then…and now.
I believe all girls should be brought up with these quotes — believing in beauty from the inside out.

“Sticks and stones may break her bones, but words may make her starve herself.” ~Somewhere on the internet im not entirely sure
Sadly, so true
i’ve heard of girls drastically dieting after a boy has told her she’s too fat, and that extreme dieting then becoming a full-blown eating disorder. Resilience is such an important quality to teach our girls.
we are a group of 16-18 year olds who have formed a school group to raise awareness about body image & raise students self esteems – particularly because we go to an all girls school.
Oh nice one Savanna – and I love your name
